Photo of the Week #52

“I am still learning.”  ~Michelangelo

This week marks the completion of my first year with the Photo of the Week project.  I searched for a quote this week that would somehow reflect or commemorate the past year, but when I saw this Michelangelo quote, I had to stop.  No big fanfare or celebration felt quite right…though I am proud of sticking with this project for a full year so far!  I realized, when thinking back over what I’ve done with this project, that I have learned quite a bit.  And reason would lead me to believe that if I continue down this path, I will learn quite a bit more.  Therefore, my continued goal will be to keep on with this project and see what else I can learn.  I may even come up with a new way to challenge myself within this project, so be on the lookout for an update in the format in the coming few weeks!

Thanks to everyone that participated this week!  To everyone that has participated over the past year: you all have helped make this project into something larger than what I could have done on my own.  All of you helped motivate me more than you realize, simply by being a part of Photo of the Week.  Thank you so much!
If you would like to join in Photo of the Week, I’d love to have you along.  Just read the guidelines to find out how to submit your photo for next week.
Have fun shooting!

Thanks Anika! It truly has been a pleasure seeing what everyone submits each week. I love that there have been so many return participants too (you included!).

I'm looking forward to what the next year will bring too. ;)

Shoot – I forgot to send in my photo this week! Ah, well. I'll be sure to get one to you by Tuesday night.

Thanks so much for creating this chance for photographers to come together to share their work. I think it's very generous of you.

oh jessica i can't believe i've somehow managed to let this fall through the cracks. and now i'm sad that i didn't make it to week 52. i can't believe you've been doing this for a year!

Beth – you're so sweet! I love that so many people have joined me in this project. :)

Andrea – Don't worry about your "hiatus" ;) Sometimes it's good to take a break from a project (even though we've missed you around here!) Look at it this way – you may have missed the 52nd week, but you've been a part of the project from the beginning and you can join in on the very first one of the second year!

Liz – it's quite alright. I didn't advertise my 1 year anniversary as much as I'd planned. I'm glad you've been a part of the project too!
