Photo of the Week, Year 3, Week 25

A few weeks ago, I began to feel overwhelmed with getting everything done that I needed to do AND still squeeze in my POTW.  I decided to give myself a little slack, but not by slacking off.  I thought I’d been helping myself by combining a bigger project (prep for my upcoming show) with my photo of the week.  This basically meant I had to set aside several hours each week in order to set up, shoot, edit, and prepare the feature.  It worked at first, but I simply didn’t have the necessary time consistently each week.  So I gave myself a break and my new personal challenge for my PTOW is to see what I can capture in a spontaneous moment with my iPhone camera.  I’m still working on my bigger project, but now I feel a certain freedom with both things that I’d somehow lost.  I think having that mental freedom might just lead me to something new…we’ll see!

This new approach to doing my POTW unfortunately means you don’t get to see a new vintage camera shot each week, but in a few weeks the series in it’s entirety will be released at my show.  (For those of you that won’t be able to come to the show, I’ll be working on getting it online shortly after that so you can see it too!)
