I saw this leaf on the sidewalk on the way to my car. It made me stop, so I picked it up and took it home – it seemed to need further examination. Turned out to be a great subject for this series! Be sure to vote for your favorite at the end.

Cat – I am using my digital Canon Rebel XT with my 17-55mm lens. No tripod, as much natural light as I could get and only one artificial light.
