I adore cameras! (Good thing that’s my main tool as a photographer, huh?) Vintage cameras are among my favorite – the mechanics just fascinate me. I often have said that I take photos because I cannot draw. Photography allows me to express my creative side while also exercising my technical abilities. The camera embodies the technical half of photography that I love. This last weekend I got a bug to do portraits of several cameras in my collection. It’s something I’ve been meaning to do for a while, and now that I’ve got a fresh workspace I just had to use my more accessible natural light! So I’ll be presenting them to you one at a time over the next few weeks.
Let me know which is your favorite by voting at the end – the poll will remain open as long as this is among the most recent 2-3 Exploring the Ordinary features. I present to you my Kodak Pony 828:
Awesome shots Jessica! I just picked up a Pony at an estate sale. The funny thing is I sold a necklace I made and was wearing to the lady running it and actually walked out with a vintage camera, books, and more money than when I walked in!
