Photo of the Week #21

Since we are at the start of a new year I thought I’d do a little something different with this feature. For me, quotes can be a wonderful source of inspiration. I mainly work with images and discover myself in them. When I use words it is usually to convey my thoughts as clearly as possible, and though I have been known to go on at length I often tend to state things rather simply. Many times my true feelings don’t form completely into words. I often find the profound feelings I have in words stated with a simple eloquence by another author. So, rather than ramble on I will share a quote I find captures the moment in words. For this week, the topic is creativity since the goal of the Photo of the Week feature is about keeping our creativity awake and active.

“You must not for one instant give up the effort to build new lives for yourselves. Creativity means to push open the heavy, groaning doorway to life. This is not an easy struggle. Indeed, it may be the most difficult task in the world, for opening the door to your own life is, in the end, more difficult than opening the doors to the mysteries of the universe.” ~Daisaku Ikeda
