Photo of the Week #41

What is a fear of yours?  This week, I made the unsettling realization that I may have a fear of my own success – even though I believe that is exactly what I want!  Crazy, right?  Well, it’s true.  So now I’m determined to get over that fear.  And at the risk of sounding all gooey and over-inspirational, I’m going to leave you with this quote from George Sheehan along with our latest works.

“Success means having the courage, the determination, the will to become the person you believe you were meant to be.”

Jess – Your thoughts are getting me to thinking about myself, too. I love the wide range of images there. Always love this blog post.

Great submissions! Jess, I've thought about the same thing regarding my success; then I ponder what success means to me…still pondering, I'm afraid. I like that quote!

I'm glad the quotes are interesting to all of you as well! :) Usually, the quotes I find each week reflect and say a bit more succinctly a bit of what was on my mind most that week.

I agree and struggle with this too. It's so bizarre-the concept of being afraid of success, don't you agree? I guess it comes into a fear of failure as well…
Great quote and lovely photos! Thanks as always!

Anika – it's a very bizzare concept. Which is why I didn't acknowledge it for a long time. But it makes sense of my tendancy to procrastinate and not follow through on so many projects. Even those I know will have a good chance of making money! And yes, it is a little wrapped up in a fear of failure sometimes too.
