Sometimes I look for a quote for this feature that will fill the space where I might otherwise put my own words. So a lot of times the shorter quotes either aren’t used, or I’ll use several that are connected in thought. This time, this one simple thought made me smile:
“If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn’t need to lug around a camera.” ~Lewis Hine
I’ve often told people “I can’t draw/paint, that’s why I’m a photographer” and this Lewis Hine quote made me think of that. Have you ever felt that way? Why have you chosen photography as your medium? Oh certainly this isn’t my only reason for photogrpahy being my chosen primary medium, but it is one of the reasons.

Thanks once again to all that participated this week – you make this feature possible!
If you hadn’t noticed yet, we will be skipping this feature next week, but it will return the following week. I’ll be out of town for the first half of the week and then I’ll be doing my final preparations for my first artisan fair for Saturday May 1st! So to save my sanity a bit, we’ll skip this feature. But go ahead and submit your photos and I’ll save it for the next Photo of the Week. If you’re new to this feature, read the guidelines to find out how to submit your photo.
Have fun shooting!
All these submissions are wonderful! We are so talented! Good luck on your art fair (sprinkling good luck your way).
Thanks Sue! ;)
Hey Jessica…I wanted to come and say hi! I like your blog…I'm "following" you now… :) It was nice meeting you today…not bad for our first shot at an art fair, eh? Talk soon!
Michelle
Hey thanks Michelle! :) It was great meeting you today too. Even though business was slow, it really was a great introduction to doing art fairs. I think I'm hooked! ;)
Beautiful!
