Last Friday was my first wedding anniversary. It has been wonderful sifting through all my memories of that day – the place, the people, the flowers, the music, the colors… For some reason, especially the colors have stuck with me. I guess it’s a sign of a good color choice when I still love them over a year later! So to celebrate my anniversary a bit on Etsy I decided to try to get a spot in the Teasury. I waited patiently and hopefully while the old lists expired, slowly making room for new ones to be created. There were over 600 waiting with me to nab a spot as soon as the magic number was struck…Suddenly it was there! The little box to click in for the title and I had to get it before too many of the other 600+ people clicked in it. YES!! I got my first treasury! (Thank you video games for my quick hand/eye coordination!) Whew! If I hadn’t gotten it at this time, who knew how many hours I would have had to wait to get another chance!
Now, with my spot in the Treasury lists secure, it was time to create my collection. I collected several items from 12 different sellers on Etsy (or the images at least) and carefully arranged them in the layout. The main inspiration was from the colors of the wedding: chocolate brown, spring greens, (of course, I wore white), and a touch of red. A couple of the images had double meaning for me, one’s title being “I Will Always Love You” (for obvious reasons). The other was “Raven’s Song” (I walked down the aisle to the Beatles song “Blackbird”). I’ve captured a screen shot of the Treasury as it will only exist on Etsy until the wee hours of Monday morning. I hope you enjoy…
